Standards of Excellence

Players

  • Each player is expected to be at every game, practice or intersquad at least one hour (60 minutes) before each event begins. 90 minutes is preferred.
  • If a player arrives late, they will not play in that game.
  • Players should arrive fully dressed to each event and carrying their own bag.
  • No shoes are to be worn other than running shoes, turfs, molded cleats or metal spikes.
  • If a player shows up in crocs, slides or anything other than the aforementioned approved items, they will not play in that game.
  • Bat throwing, bat flips, helmet throwing or any other equipment slamming is prohibited.
  • If any of these actions occur while wearing Dodgers colors, you will immediately be pulled out of the current game and will sit the next game.
  • All players should show up with everything they need for the day. If you have a chance to play more than 1 game in a row, please show up with the appropriate amount of food/water to last you the day.


Coaches

  • Each coach is expected to be at every game, practice or intersquad at least one hour (60 minutes) before each event begins. 90 minutes is preferred.
  • Tardiness means potential loss of pay for games coached.
  • Coaches should ONLY be wearing Dodgers gear. No other programs apparel is to be worn during Dodgers activities. This includes:
  • High school teams
  • Other showcase/travel organizations
  • Officially licensed MLB Dodgers gear is allowed.
  • Coaches are expected to prepare athletes for the day. Activities that are included are:
  • Batting practice
  • Fungo
  • Dynamic warm-ups
  • High school aged pitch count limit is 80, or otherwise cleared by Director.
  • Youth pitch count limit is 65, or otherwise cleared by Director.
  • Coaches should be on time and professional at all Dodgers events.
  • Exposure over winning.


Uniforms

  • Each player is expected to arrive ready to go.
  • Dressing in the parking lot is prohibited.
  • No Crocs, Yeezys, or slides.
  • If you wear these to the field, you will not play that day.
  • Turfs and spikes are required to be Royal blue in color.
  • All white is allowed as long as they stay white.
  • With all blue uniform, white belt should be worn.
  • With any other uniform combination, blue belt should be worn.
  • Royal blue socks from the team store OR official stance Dodgers socks are approved.
  • All incoming players will wear Tucci helmets with the Dodgers interlocking LA logo.
  • Older model Rawling helmets are permitted if previously purchased.
  • Royal blue or white leg and arm guards are permitted only.
  • We have a partnership with Tucci. For more information, please contact your coach.
  • Tucci is our official bat sponsor. For more information, please contact your coach.
  • Shirts are to remain tucked in while at the field. This includes before, during and after the game/practice.
  • White undershirts are to be worn with blue uniforms. Blue undershirts are to be worn with all other uniforms.
  • Team bags are required for all teams. Please purchase through the uniform store.
  • Dodgers gear is required at practice.
  • Uniforms are to be purchased from our uniform store. All other brands have been discontinued, and are prohibited.
  • All hair should be cut above the collar.
  • No wings out of the side of the hat
  • Facial hair is to be clean shaven or neatly trimmed/groomed



Parents

  • Speaking to umpires is strictly prohibited.
  • If an incident occurs during an event, please wait 24 hours to discuss with the coaches of your team.
  • No hanging around the dugout. This includes but is not prohibited to:
  • Coaching your athlete during the game.
  • Bringing food and drinks during the game.
  • Attempting to speak to coaches during the game.
  • Be respectful to other teams/organizations players, parents and fans. No chirping
  • Cheer for the whole team, we are in this together. We are a Family!
